Roof leak repair
A small drip can turn into a stained ceiling, wet insulation and mold if it's left alone. If you're in Howell, Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro or Colts Neck, call and we'll connect you with a local roofer who can find where the water is getting in and fix it.

- Move furniture, electronics and anything you care about away from the drip.
- Put a bucket or towels under the leak. If the ceiling is sagging with water, keep everyone out of that room.
- Take photos of the ceiling, the attic and anything that got wet, for your insurance company.
- Stay off the roof. Wet shingles are slippery, and most leaks can't be found or fixed safely in the rain.
- Call us and say it's leaking now.
Common causes of roof leaks
- Cracked or loose flashing around chimneys, vent pipes and skylights
- Missing or lifted shingles after high wind
- Worn-out shingles on an older roof
- Clogged gutters that let water back up under the roof edge
- Ice dams in winter, when melted snow refreezes at the edge of the roof
What the roofer will check
Water often travels before it drips, so the wet spot on your ceiling isn't always right under the problem. A good roofer checks the attic and the roof around chimneys, vents, valleys and skylights, then tells you whether a repair will do or the roof is near the end of its life.
